About the 2012 Honda CRF250RThe machine

Its SOHC four-valve design, five-speed transmission, kick starter and wet multiplate clutch are built around a competition-focused package. An aluminum perimeter frame pairs with a 48 mm inverted Showa cartridge fork and a fully adjustable Showa shock with Pro-Link linkage. The Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) is standard equipment. The CRF250R is built for sanctioned, closed-course competition by experienced riders, not street use.
Who should ride it
This bike is for experienced motocross riders and racers who ride closed courses, including competitors preparing for sanctioned races and riders training on motocross tracks. Its competition-focused setup and adjustable suspension suit riders who can make use of chassis and suspension tuning for track conditions. It is not aimed at casual street riding: the CRF250R is not street legal in the US and is built for one rider, no passenger.
