About the 2021 Honda CRF450RThe machine
The 2021 Honda CRF450R is a closed-course motocross bike powered by a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled 450cc single-cylinder four-stroke with a SOHC four-valve head and five-speed transmission. This generation brought an all-new frame and swingarm, slimmer bodywork, a revised engine, and a single exhaust in place of the previous twin pipes. A titanium fuel tank, Honda Selectable Torque Control, HRC launch control, a handlebar map switch, and a stock skid plate are part of its equipment. Fully adjustable Showa suspension provides 12.2 inches of front travel and 12.4 inches at the rear, with a 49mm inverted coil-spring fork up front.
Who should ride it
This CRF450R is for motocross racers and experienced riders who want a competition-focused bike for closed-course track riding. Its 450cc four-stroke engine, launch control, and adjustable suspension suit riders building speed through practice motos or lining up for races. It is not intended for beginners looking for a mild first dirt bike or trail riders seeking a US street-legal machine.
