About the 2027 Honda CRF450RThe machine

The 2027 Honda CRF450R is a motocross race bike with a fuel-injected, liquid-cooled four-stroke engine and a 5-speed transmission. Its all-new 2027 generation brings a revised engine, a main frame with about 70% new components, a new rear subframe, a lighter swingarm and revised suspension. The new clutch includes a back-torque limiter, while a titanium fuel tank increases capacity. Standard equipment includes Honda Selectable Torque Control, HRC launch control and a handlebar map switch. Designed for motocross and racing, it also has an aluminum frame and an exhaust built to meet AMA sound limits.

Who should ride it

This bike is for motocross racers and riders who spend their time on closed-course tracks, including competitors looking for a full-size 450-class race machine. Its racing focus, adjustable suspension, launch control and torque-control system suit riders who want settings and aids for track conditions. It is not aimed at trail riding or street commuting: it is not street legal in the US and has no stock skid plate.
